If the SEC delays football, it will be the most significant sign of the apocalypse.

I hope that the documentaries start hitting the streaming world right around October showing all the city damage done by these peaceful protesters.
If That Man(Sorry Sir Winston) could have saved only one life by wearing a mask early it would have been worth it. Perhaps that life was the one of my SI classmate who passed away last week. How tough is it to wear a mask?
The old “if it saves one life” trope.  Careful with where that logic leads.  It can get really nasty really quick.

If it saves one life to Terry stop every car in Oakland once a month, would it be worth it?

Imagine how many lives trump has saved by tamping down illegal border crossings.  Those coyotes just leave their dead behind, don’t they???

Oh; you are saying that trump only needs to take a token action to save lives with his mask?  Ok then. Obama was (is?) a smoker. How many people did he kill?

Buy guns when nobody else is.  Guns rarely depreciate much unless you wear them out or store them poorly.  Ammo can last decades or longer if you don’t do anything stupid like leave it out in the rain.  And, both are relatively liquid, and especially so during times like today.

In other words, you probably get about the same yield on stored guns and ammo as you get on your savings account these days, and you have optionality.

I suspect that some of the panic buying is because Biden is likely to win the presidency.  Obama sold more guns than any president in history, and the left claims he didn’t intend to do anything to gun rights.

I Try not to criticize when a politician does the right thing,.. he also wore a mask this week end. Let’s give him shit about that.

When a child makes pee pee in the toilet for the first time everyone cheers. So yeah, I guess better late than never. But it would have been nice if he had done it before 135,000 Americans died. And I’d bet money he will soon revert to his usual behavior. I suspect someone just finally told him he couldn’t come in without a mask. I guess we’ll find out at his next super-spreader event (rally).
Your post drifted a bit, but it begs the question:  Do you really believe that Trump is somehow “responsible” for 135,000 people dying?  Put in other words, do you believe that Trump has enabled the deaths of 135,000 people?  Your post implies it, and you aren’t alone.

Trump is the flea on the elephant, just like Fauci and pretty much any expert.  The only thing Trump has to deal with is the burden of leadership, which doesn’t seem to apply to his Democrat brethren at the state level, even when far, far more egregious POLICY decisions have directly resulted in deaths.

Instead, Trump isn’t “saying” the right things.  What else is new?

Joe Biden has the easiest track to presidential election since Washington.

Trump tried to have it both ways on DACA and sorely misplayed it.
The movie to which I had been most looking forward. On Apple TV exclusively today. I actually bought a Firestick to see it. We’ll see.
Silly side question:  Does Amazon Fire Stick allow access to Apple TV?

Policy for data collection would be nice.

I have noticed that the case monitoring sites often adjust for these kinds of updates, though.  So I don’t think all is lost.

The data issue requires a longer attention span than our twitter generation can handle. You have to be able to understand the Data limitations due to collection styles and also due to testing rates, etc.  a case today is nothing like a case in March. It’s apples and oranges.

It’s idiotic.  It’s just another example of playing the “trump is a dictator” string when the merits of the argument are zero.

The sad part about all this is that she’s not an american, but she is caught up in American woke culture.

when you suppress speech that is actually intended to support the cause of equality, you only embitter the allies you say you want.

there is not doubt that by removing an evaluation of intent or lack thereof from the equation, you give an excessive amount of judgmental power to the audience.  But the critical issue is the judgment isn’t applied equally. Look at the amount of grace given to desean Jackson this week while he put out the most ignorant anti-semitism. Woke progressives jump to his defense and essentially say he didn’t intend offense and imply that he was just ignorant.

people will see through it as it gets more intense.
The AD doesn’t get money from the U historically, I think it is borrowing some now. AD has the DAPER Fund, which is endowed, and heavily invested in Silicon Valley, used historically more for capital projects, but it is being tapped. The entire campus, every department was asked to make 10%ish cuts. This was the AD’s “cut” so far. We all know if there is not football in the fall then the AD budget deficit climbs much higher. Muir, Shaw, Haas, VanDeVeer all voluntarily taking 10% pay cuts right now…I don’t know how much money that actually saves and I think it looks like pissing in a bucket…20% would have looked good. But I think the Flames Will Go Higher on this across the country. Especially if the golden goose doesn’t play this Fall.
