      Congrats to Alameda County for recognizing how many social problems they can fix with a higher minimum wage.

      Of course this will be a ballot initiative.  Almost like putting rent control up to a vote, it will pass by a wide margin.

      Some estimates claim Urban Growth Boundaries and local zoning and building codes increase construction cost by as much as 40%.  Not hard to believe.

      That is why the founders felt that true democracy was abhorrent.  Tyranny of the majority.  Government by impulse.
