Supreme Court just turned eastern Oklahoma into an Indian Reservation, reiterated 200 year old law from the Jefferson Administration that says the president is not immune to subpoenas, which was a no brainer, and punted on Congressional subpoenas.  Pretty fun last day for the season.  And now, my money is betting on Alito and Thomas to ride off into the sunset in the next few months, allowing trumpo to appoint two new conservatives to the Court before his ass hits the streets….  McConnell still has the Senate, trumpo still sits in the White House  (soon to be renamed under Biden to godknowswhat?)…risk mitigation tells me you gotta send the old fellas into the retirement and get some fresh conservative blood on the bump before the liberals seize control.  Now that would be Supremes playing politics, which Thomas and Alito would never do (ha), but my betting money is on it happening by September 1.

I will probably vote democrat if two justices are confirmed before the next administration.

Best bet is for Tiz the Law to win the Triple Crown because the best contenders are either retired or injured.

Roscoe, you amuse me. I too have seen a couple stories I the last several days that suggest to me that you’re as right here as the polls were in 2016.

First, Biden endorsed an Obama era regulatory framework that gives the Feds primacy in local zoning nationally. Second two street killings of children, one in N. Y. & one in Atlanta. Third, when Pelosi was asked about the trashing of the Columbus statue in her hometown of Baltimore, she chose not to criticize the lawless vandals.

It is my opinion that suburban soccer moms are as committed to NIMBY as the folks in Nantucket or Malibu.  They don’t choose to live and raise families in urban blight. The 2018 democratic coalition that influenced this demographic over healthcare access will be permanently fractured/inoperative when suburbanites notice Biden’s support for Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing. The regulations permit the Feds to deny HUD funds if the locals refuse to bring the best of our urban blights to their communities.

Roscoe, Biden will lose the voting members of the 2018 coalition solely because he has chosen to chase the Sanders base; a “voting block” that proved once again in the primaries that they don’t vote.

The Orange One has his base locked. He can work the margins. Say goodnight to the senile one…and Ginsburg as well.

I wish I was as confident in the suburban soccer moms as you are.rjnw. I don’t think they are smart enough to discern the nuances of Biden‘s  policies and their negative impact. They either vote for Ds or they get shamed. Plus, like many of our posters they hate the Orange one.
POTUS will have to win without them.

you keep putting gin in that cool aid grandpa.  I am listening to Karl Rove on this one…the polling only matters in 11 counties in this country and the president is behind in 9 of them by over 10%…and that is Fox says.

Yes, son; that’s what the polling said earlier this week…when the Fox sample was taken…before the incidents I noted were on the record?

Fox is now posing the question, “how far left will Biden have to go?”  Gee, the old man was out front on this one!

      Alito maybe. Thomas, no way.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just think it's cute that you think yours really matters.

Roscoe, don’t you know you can’t appoint a Supreme Court justice during an election year? /s

Touché.  But of course Roscoe knows that. So does Biden.  He made that clear in 1992.  Although admittedly he may not remember…

FWIW, I thought what the GOP did vis-a-vis Garland was “wrong”.  I also believe if the circumstances were reversed the Dems would have done exactly the same thing.
