MickParticipantBiggest story is that the Democrats gained seven Senate seats, count is currently 54-44 Dems. Dems picked up Senators in Maine, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa and Kansas.
Democrats picked up 39 seats (so far) in the House (so far) 247-152, and trending against Republicans. Is it the biggest net gain ever? It barely cracks the top 10 over the last 100 years, right behind Bush’s loss of 31 seats in 2006. Leader was Roosevelt’s loss of 81 seats in 1938, followed by Barack Obama’s loss of 64 seats in 2010, his first midterm election. Stanford alum Herbert Hoover had a loss of 52 seats in 1930 as the Depression picked up steam.
There has been a net gain of +4 Governors for the Democrats, who now hold a gubernatorial lead of 28-20.
More election results to come.

MickParticipantRight now, I’m pretty comfortable saying the Democrats have picked up 39 seats in the House. NBC News is projecting a 43 seat Republican loss. This combined loss of 50 House and Senate seats would rank Trump as having the 10th greatest loss in 25 mid-term elections over the last 100 years. Largest are as follows:
