About once a month, a stolen car is abandoned in our three block radius. I live in a nice-ish area fairly close to densely-packed and slightly dilapidated apartment buildings, and another two blocks from lower-end housing. Every so often, a stolen car is abandoned within a few blocks of us, and SJC parking control doesn’t do anything about it unless it’s been there for two weeks or more. A few of us have discussed having these cars towed and left in front of the Mayor’s house — heh, heh — but then sanity prevails
