This isn’t exactly news. I filed as an independent in 2004 (a pox on both their houses), and virtually everyone I know votes against one candidate rather than for their opposing number.
Take the Gallup poll. Senate approval has hit a new low of 10%, with 86% unfavorable. Quelle surprise.
