My guess. I see 5 wins. I also see more downside than up. A lot rides on the QB position. Anybody else?

Oregon – Win (typical Stanford win, definite downside risk)
@ Az State – Loss (always a weird road dynamic)
@ Wazzu – Win (I’m guessing at this one. a tough road trip, downside risk)

7 wins? I just don’t think we have the leadership / maturity to do that. Shaw has surprised me in the past, but I think we have been on a long trend of growing softer and softer.
I can definitely see us beating Vandy, but can also see it as a trap game after having to pound on USC, then travel and play an SEC team that will not be a pushover.
If we set a plodding offensive pace, I can easily see us slipping below 5 games. We are going to have to keep pace.

Don’t underestimate Vandy’s ability to suck. At home. Last season they were 0-5 at home (1-4 ATS). They went 3-4 in 2019 (2-5 ATS). David Shaw is usually good for one upset win, and one inexplicable loss per season. So I’m going with 6 wins as the most likely outcome. I’m going with 7 wins (ASU or UCLA) based on a bit of chaos in their programs.
