cardcrimsonParticipantTrump is signing executive orders today aimed at lowering drug costs in the US, including one allowing the import of prescription drugs from Canada.
Barely a peep from the MSM. . . .
All attention is on Charlamagne the God’s war with Biden on whether Trump is the first racist in the White House or not.

ParticipantHeck, you only have to go back as far as Woodrow Wilson. You don’t even have to get to Andrew Johnson.

Participantnary a peep from the faux conservatives on this board about this seemingly socialist anti-free market maneuver by the president. Doesn’t this just work lockstep with obamacare and our slow shift to socialized medicine?

rjnwmillParticipantYou hung over from last night? It was a joke.
And as a lawyer, you’re smart enough to know one man’s “socialism” is another man‘s effort to unwind damaging monopolistic business practices that are anathema to the free market and society more generally. Worse here, a monopoly predicated upon a regulatory framework…a framework bought and paid for by big pharma. You surely understand pharmaceutical patent regulations. 17 years of legalized skim the cream. Rape and pillage at home while competing in a “fair market” overseas. You’re defending the guy in jail with the alphabet name and his epi-pen hi jinx.
Respond when you’re bright eyed and bushy tailed. You won’t see hypocrisy in every post.

johnnyo53ParticipantHOW DOES IT CONFLICT WITH FREE MARKETS IF WE OPEN OURS TO DUTY FREE IMPORTS AND FORCE DOMESTIC COMPANIES TO COMPETE FOR OUR BUSINESS? HOW IS IT ANY DIFFERENT THAN ALLOWING CHINESE TRADE OR MEXICAN BUILT FORD TRUCKS? YOU GO AHEAD AND PAY MORE ROSCOE.
“I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I

ParticipantToo little too late. They got close to real change but stopped short.
Roscoe my fear is always that when my Président goes socialist on a an issue he only opens the way for the Ds to outbid him. He offers 2 trillion in relief they go for 4. Infrastructure bill, X’ they want 3X. Drug prices is a populist issue more than left or right and your nemesis comes down on the populist side.
