As an aside for a moment, David Shaw aggravated the living hell out of me Saturday night.  Once again he demonstrated his woeful lack of ability in running an O despite Davis Mills absence.  Jet Toner’s four missed FG’s were ridiculous but he never should have had to attempt three of them.  Does anyone really think Saban, Kelly, Day or any front line tier head coach in college football would call two consecutive or even one fade passes into the corner of the end zone on first and goal and second and goal from the one yard line, the second call resulting in an offensive interference call dropping us back to the 16. Or kick a field goal on 4th and less than 5 down two TD`s in the 4th quarter?  Or keep throwing sideline routes all might when the middle was open?

We have a very good O line and some good receivers and running backs but Shaw`s incompetence as an OC is staggering.

I didn’t watch that closely, TBH, but I thought I heard that Shaw was letting Pritcard do much od the play-calling.  No?

I AM LOSING MORE INTEREST DAILY IN STANFORD FOOTBALL AND THE PAC12 AS I WATCH THIS HORSESH*T.  NOW I KNOW HOW STANFORD FANS FELT DURING THE CHRISTIANSEN YEARS AFTER RALSTON…  WATCHING THE SHAVITA IS THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY.

“I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I

College football is the only sports event I have interest in these days.

Agree on the PAC12.  Pussy 12 is more apt.

Don’t even care that much about football. It’s club and hopefully high school swimming and water polo for me (well, actually for my daughter).

There was a large water polo tournament this past weekend in Utah, with 45 teams from UT, CO, and CA playing. Pre tournament testing for everyone that attended, rapid result testing every day for the players and coaches. Will be interesting to see if they pulled it off safely, especially in light of the huge spike happening in Utah at the moment. I think they severely tightened restrictions a couple days after the tourney ended.

I hope they did, as it will be a good model for future events. . . .

      Rocky,

Missed most of 1 quarter, thanks to Pedo Joe and Headboard Harris.

I didn’t have a big issue with the playing calling, but the field goal attempt in the 4th Q was a true WTF moment.  Good friend, long time Duck fan was sure Stanford was playing a fake when they lined up for the field goal.  He forgot who our head coach is.

I did not miss any of the game because they switched coverage to another ESPN station when they broke away.  You may have missed that announcement.  We win that game if Davis Mills plays and anyone other than Shaw is calling plays.

In our part of the world, the game was on ABC.  Watching with a friend who did not have ESPN sports package.

I did not have a package either.  I watched on regular ABC and it was announced they were breaking away for the Biden shit show.  They said they would continue the broadcast on a station called ESPN news.  I spoke into my clicker and asked for ESPN news and it took me to an ESPN station and I watched the game until the ABC station switched back.  I recorded both stations in case I missed anything when they switched back.  Did not miss a minute of Shaw’s scintillating play calling.
