Haven’t read Cal Thomas in a while. But his first impression was my first impression. She’s really, really short. Most presidents, especially of recent vintage are 6’1″ or taller; including Kennedy, Johnson, Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Clinton, Obama and Trump. Trump’s actually the third tallest at 6’3″. Even Biden was 6 feet even. Nixon and GWBush were 5’11 1/2″, so above average.
Kamala is 5’4″. No wonder she wanted modifications to the debate, including seated vs. standing, access to notes (lawyer insecurity), and non-muted mics (she wanted to scold an interrupting Trump with the tart “I’m speaking” thing).

Thomas also points out that the interviewer let her get away with the big question, that she covered up Biden’s decline. He points out numerous other vague and inconsistent responses that no moderate to conservative reporter would allow her. Speaking of which, Scott Jennings eviscerated her:

This is interesting…post-interview, her odds of becoming president slid with bookmakers, from 10/11 (52.4%) to a tie with Trump (51.3%). And over the same period, Trump’s odds improved from 48.8% to 51.3%.
