According to her 2019 statements, when she ran for president, she backed a ban on fracking; mandatory gun buybacks, i.e. gun confiscation; taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries for prison inmates; racial reparations; decriminalizing illegal immigration; defunding the police; eliminating Immigration and Customs Enforcement; “Medicare for All”; the Green New Deal; and allowing felons to vote. She supported Prop 47 which reduced penalties on numerous crimes and ushered in San Francisco’s current lawlessness.
Harris is replacing Biden loyalists with Obama campaign staff, which will result in a slightly more conservative approach.
She still won’t answer questions from journalists; e.g., what would she do to fix our borders (4x the illegal crossings compared with Trump), to solve the war in the middle east, to solve the ukraine war, why consumer confidence has cratered, why joblessness is on the rise (which Harris is publicly blaming Trump for, interesting because he’s been out of office for four years), why inflation was so horrible (and undercounted, based upon my experience). She didn’t do much about any of that in her 2/3rds of a single Senate term (1/2 spent running for the Presidency)
