Young people are overwhelmingly Republican

A new Yale Youth Poll of 4,100 voters found voters aged 18 to 21 lean Republican by 11.7 points while voters aged 22 to 29 favored Democrats by 6.4 points.

JD Vance was the most popular Republican. Kamala Harris was the most popular Democrat.

Mrs. Mick was politically neutral until she was forced to join a teacher’s union. The union representative was the school’s janitor, a particularly lazy individual that she had to beg to do his job and clean her classroom. When the janitor and two others went to negotiate for more pay and benefits (as they did every three years), Mrs. Mick and others asked them to negotiate for pregnancy benefits. When the union reps came back from negotiations, they had negotiated significant benefits for elderly and retiring teachers…but no pregnancy benefits.

A year later, Mrs. Mick stopped teaching. As she was retiring, she was allowed to move her retirement fund out of CalPERS. This same union rep/lazy janitor approached her and demanded that she leave her retirement money in CalPERS because “old and retiring teachers need her money.”

Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Mick transferred her retirement fund to a self-directed IRA and registered as a Republican.
