The Seattle City Council consist of actual people. If you look at the link below it tells all about them including their website, bios and staff. When you read the bios, it is if everything is normal in Seattle. No problems just the wonderful things that they have accomplished. Nothing about riots, looting, violence, homeless, defunding police. Just wonderful caring things they have done. These are all dedicated public servants. Nice people. Caring people. They even are building tiny house villages. Hobbits anyone?

I think the script playing out is about Biden.
He picks his VP and she and Biden go to Portland, Seattle and Chicago. Biden puts his foot down. Everything stops and Biden is a hero. He and his No 2 know how to handle a crisis. America takes a deep breath of relief and Biden goes on to win. Hollywood does the movie.

Agree. No good choices that can bring some votes or swing a state or two as a dowery.
But Biden is still the best politician in America with nothing to say. And there’s nothing wrong with Biden that a miracle can’t fix. He’s the favorite.
Unless I’m mistaken the founders of the country believed that our constitution was tailored for a moral and a religious people. There was no in between. Look at Cuomo and some of the things he supports.
Going a little further, not one damn person close to the Russia Hoax has come forward and admitted culpability. Not one FISA judge has admitted they screwed up. Not one Democrat has stood up and said rioting, looting and meyhem are not tolerable. And some Republicans.
You can’t govern or get anywhere with people like that.
Cuomo doesn’t understand that it takes very little to govern good people and bad people can’t be governed at all. Same holds true for those doing the governing. He is reflexively counter-intuitive. Modern day Nero.

I give Karen Pelosi some credit. Karen was effective in tearing up Trump’s State of the Union speech on national TV. For better or worse.

You get Covid and don’t know what to do. The MD says he is going to flip a coin to help decide what to do. Heads you take the malaria drug because there is evidence of some success, tails you tell the doctor that under no circumstances are you to take the malaria drug because it’s laughable.

The role of Yale in solving the polio epidemic was significant especially in the early stages. No one doing polio research anywhere would have snickered at a Yale epidemiologist’s conclusions of a therapy’s efficacy then or now. They would have embraced it as part of the larger picture.
The problem with this virus pandemic is in assessing personal risk. You’ll see the most fear with those most risk averse. In the case of Covid, the fear is extreme due mostly to the media providing irresponsible stories. We’ve ended up with most people believing that getting Covid = death on a respirator. That is false except for the obvious that are always at risk.
The data on Covid now is significant and anyone can calculate their 0wn risks if they want to take the time. Some Covid data has also been overstated and even incented.
President Trump’s mistake is that he should have had MDs at his news conferences from different parts of the country updating citizens on their experiences and opinions. He should have given the floor to them. Because most places were not Manhattan and Queens with a dimwit governor screaming about his vent shortage every day. And Fauci was a DC insider with too much exposure and clout. He ended up as the face of fear, dread and uncertainty.
A lot of this has just become very bad theater. And this is only Act 1.

The Ohio governor called in the National Guard at the request of Kent Mayor LeRoy Satrom. The order to lock and load was given by NG General Robert Canterbury. To me protestors cross the line at looting and then all bets are off to stop them. I am sure the Mayor of Portland is well aware of what happened at Kent St.

People will have to make a choice that will be hard to swallow. Vote for someone they hate but know loves the country. Vote for someone they like and has dementia. You could see the demented left take over led by a man with dementia.
