Want to reduce CPI? Add cocaine to the basket of goods.

If people aren’t working, Social Security won’t be funded / taxes need to go up significantly to fund current obligations.

Tell us, what brings you joy?

It seems that you’ve been so successful connecting with younger voters. What can you tell them you will do to make society more equitable?

One of your election themes is “We won’t go back.” Tell us how far back Trump and Vance want to take us.

What is the significance of the passage of time?

You were space Czar, what is America’s future in space?

How did working a summer job inform your proposal to increase the federal minimum wage?  Did you ever work for tips? Is that why Trump stole the idea from you, and your stance wasn’t a condition for the SEIU endorsement in Nevada?

Evidence of price gouging is all around us, with former Treasury Secretary Robert Reich putting Kroger on blast for having 20% gross profit last fiscal year. How will the federal government reign in corporate greed?

How is the alt-Right influencing the Trump campaign, and why are Republicans so racist?

Project 2025 is a libertarian version of Mein Kampf. How will you make sure that individual liberty doesn’t get in the way of using the administrative state to further progressive policies?

Elon Musk, and now even Mark Zuckerberg are openly spreading disinformation. What are your plans to curb misinformation?

What are you going to do to make sure that Israel unilaterally disarms so that the killing in Gaza and the assassination of Iranian peacemakers stops?

Joe Biden accidentally gave $239M to the Taliban. Coming in fresh, with no culpability whatsoever, what will you do to avoid similar problems in the future?

What will you do to make sure that we realize a return on investment on our climate change policies, give the Inflation Reduction Act’s record of only building 12 EV chargers with $7B, only providing a handful of electric buses with $900M, and not connecting a single rural high speed Internet customer? Those were Sec. Granholm’s failures, of course, not yours.

Recently, videos of you cooking are resurfacing on the Internet, including cracking and egg with one hand. Is this part of JD Vance’s plan to put women back in the kitchen?

How did you spend brat summer?

You’re the law and order candidate. How will you make sure that as many enemies of democracy are in prison?

America remains the most prosperous nation on earth. How are you going to ensure that that wealth doesn’t remain in the wrong hands? Every human being who can make it to our shores deserves a piece of that wealth as soon as they arrive, right? That’s what it means to be a global citizen?

You have an economics background and your father was an economics professor at Stanford. So you know better than anyone else how the government can continue to spend money and print money, so long as we reign in corporate greed?

Your economics background allows you to set the optimal price for food, housing, and other essentials. Why didn’t Biden use your expertise; how far down can you bring inflation, and how quickly?

We can also afford to provide health care, housing assistance, education, and social security to all refugees / economic refugees, because of modern monetary theory, right? Janet Yellen has said as much.

In the last four years, native born employment has still not returned to pre-pandemic levels, and foreign-born workers have gained approximately 1M jobs. Why are American-born workers so racist?

Educational attainment and test scores have dropped significantly in most states since the pandemic. Are you going to ban standardized testing like they did in Oregon on day 1?

Crime is clearly down since the Summer of Love in 2020. Some cities have stopped reporting statistics. Are you going to end the racist requirement that cities record and report crime statistics in order to receive federal funds?

What is possible if we are in unburdened by what has been?

Note: the Reuters report was a “pickup” of the Axios report. Information laundering.

The campaign engaged in one of the most emotionally manipulative uses of social media, floating a rumor that Beyonce or Taylor Swift was going to speak on the last night. That “special guest” rumor was flying all over the Internet, breathlessly spread by influencers, journalists, and operatives to hype things up. The fact that there were no consequences shows that it was a test for an even bigger hoax. October is going to be wild.

It actually wasn’t that bad, only double what is normal (-6%), rather than potentially triple.  It also gives the Fed flexibility for a larger rate cut.  The curious thing was the 30+ minute delay in releasing the number.  I guess you had to balance the need to keep the number below an important psychological number (1M), and the need for a large enough number to justify a large rate cut, right before an election….
