ParticipantGood article debunking Trump’s conspiracy theories in Georgia.
It’s one thing for some idiots to repeat these things on social media. It’s insane that the President of the United States is leading the charge on the disinformation.
Honestly this goes beyond partisan politics. If a Democrat acted this way I would be the first to call him out on the insanity. I hope some of you aren’t still buying into this crap.

LegendKeymasterI’m certainly past it. It’s pretty much a disgrace at this point.

johnnyo53ParticipantAnd yet Stacy Abrams still says she won. F the demtards, I think it’s great, roll a grenade under the bus and blow up the whole sh*tshow, America can’t be held hostage by Georgia. Send Sherman back in with the troops. We are 72.5M strong, and we aren’t standing down or going away. Y’all don’t like it, KMA.
“I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I

Yes it is.
But where were you when the Speaker of the House and the Senate Minority Leader and the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee were leading the disinformation campaign for the four years prior?

rjnwmillParticipantCC, yes indeed. You’ve hit the proverbial nail with your post. Malfeasance is the common thread on both sides of the aisle. Screw the country, screw the constituents, anything is fair in the pursuit of personal power.
And I’ll say, I felt Trump was peddling bs four years ago when he claimed his campaign was spied on and Trump Tower was bugged. Whoops.
With that misadventure in the rear view mirror partially, I won’t dismiss his claims out of hand now. The Russia hoax was a massive fraud. FBI, congressional leaders, executive branch leakers & investigative and social media? We’re to assume they operated independently and coherently…across multiple branches of government, with integrated media support? There was no planning and coordination between the parties?
It took two plus years to recognize that Trump was right, that the never Trump narrative was political bs all along. It took years by a team from the DoJ Inspector General to start peeling the onion as I recall. A US Attorney is still at work on the documentation of the record.
The obvious question now is why do people want to dismiss the Trump election allegations in seven weeks? What is the rush? Am I the only one who still believes in the old adage, “Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” We are not prepared to acknowledge the obvious…Washington is broken and political leadership is morally bankrupt.

Participant@cardcrimson — I mentioned in a previous post last week that I didn’t really follow the Russia thing that closely and never commented one way or another on it. I will note, though, that it was initiated by Republicans, investigated by Republicans, and prosecuted by Republicans.
If you’re talking about the quid pro quo thing (Ukraine) — I am still of the opinion it was an abuse of power. And the fact that Trump was not held accountable is probably one reason why he felt emboldened to call the Secretary of State of Georgia (and who knows who else) to ask them to change the votes — which itself may be illegal and undemocratic at the very least.

cardcrimsonParticipantPuzzled watching the returns. With 91% in Perdue held a 3% lead. With 95% in, the lead is down to .2%. How does that happen? Legitimately I mean.

ParticipantChange of topic? I responded to the topic I thought you raised (perhaps I misunderstood; my bad) and then finished the comment by talking about Trump / Georgia — the original topic.

rjnwmillParticipantThese protests at the capital are remarkable…as is the reaction of the media and the politicians.
A fellow from Congress referred to the goings on as “despicable”. Perhaps so.
But this is the direct result of the politics these “pros” have been practicing for 20+ years. You reap what you sow.
Wheeler blamed Trump for attacks on the US courthouse in Portland? Waters called for confrontation directed at Trump admin officials? Harris raises money to bail out looters & arsonists in Wisconsin? Nadler claims ANTIFA doesn’t exist? Democrats campaign against Bush 41 with an ad featuring the murder of a black man? All the while the “pros” lie and scheme. Russia, Russia, Russia? “I never discussed business with my son”? Encouraging “protests” like today’s both actively and passively?
And the blame is always placed on the partisans responding to the the “pro’s” rhetoric. They indeed share blame…with the “pros”. Leaders, my butt. The ability to deliver a speech that is exclusively self serving, a willingness to refuse uncomfortable questions & deflect responsibility with a constant refrain, “Come on Man” is not a useful or complete leadership model. It is the model of incompetence…as these “pros” now bleat in unison, “We’re all Americans!” No more speech making “pros”…seppuku.
Ps: Biden’s statement today is example one. Does the old fool think it was made more effective by holding this message until now…instead of at his convention when midwest cities were aflame? Damn, were in a leadership vacuum unlike any I’ve seen during my lifetime.
