But this is different.  Being detained in over crowded shelters by the orange man is inhumane. Being detained in over crowded shelters by democrats is compassionate.

Articles like this will put the Onion out of business.

    Great line.

I hope I live long enough to see race stop being used as an excuse for making poor choices.  White people make poor choices, and lord knows college students with credit cards can go nuts regardless of color.

Could have been a good life learning moment with the race card.
As for Kamala, she dropped out because she was running behind Andrew Yang in California. She’s a terrible politician who benefited from California’s social promotion for Democrats program until Biden committed himself to a female, African-American vice president. She’s a demonstrated liar, completely inauthentic, a prosecutor who jumps to conclusions without evaluating evidence, and someone who will say anything to win an election (and still puts her foot into her mouth on a routine basis). Also of note, the media runs cover for her / promotes her, and she knows she will not be held accountable by them. The media is already preparing the general public for the 25th Amendment proceedings.
I believe Pelosi flapping about the 25th Amendment in Jan was setting the table for Biden’s removal. She knew the 25th couldn’t be used on Trump, and Pence was not going to initiate action.    All the hand waving and declarations about the 25th had nothing to do with Trump, but everything to do with Biden.
Pretty amazing detail. One cargo vessel shows the fragility of the system. https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:32.3/centery:22.4/zoom:3
We’ve seen fragility in many different areas during the last 12 months.  Power systems not up to the task, Solar Winds hack, the failure of our health care system to deal with a disease infecting less than 10% of our population.  Our “leaders” have been exposed as empty suits, capable only of spending money, issuing mandates and grabbing lunch at The French Laundry.

The next virus from CCP will target internet communication and Financial markets.  The US economy will be in ruins, and feckless leadership will be unable to do a thing.  We are cursed with bureaucrats who couldn’t make trains run on time if they wanted to.

China wins WWIII and never fires a shot.
I don’t mind that you are still evaluating trump, I just wish it would come with a hint of appreciation for what was accomplished on Covid vs what was said. Everybody wants to focus on what trump said, but not what his admin did. That is the tale of the tape. His rhetoric overwhelmed his actual substantive policy positions. On Covid, the mask and lockdown advocates have had their say, but it’s trump’s admin that is going to end up saving the day. The agility shown over the Covid crisis is pretty impressive. The production of ventilators. The facilitation of multiple vaccines globally. it was all so good that nothing Biden has done has actually changed the Covid trajectory. And Biden knows it. Biden is a typical politician. Said 100 million vaccinated in 100 days when anybody good at math would have said that number was in the bag. Nothing big and audacious. trump said a vaccine by year end and was scoffed at by the “science” believers. trump is a grade a ass, but he wasn’t always wrong.
Biden’s SoS even acknowledged Trump was correct about China.  Who would guess THAT would ever happen……

“A wealth tax is popular among voters on both sides for good reason: because they understand the system is rigged to benefit the wealthy and large corporations,” Ms. Warren said.

What a load of unfiltered BS.  The reason voters on both sides like it is the tax -as proposed – will not affect them.  Liz wants that money to forgive student debt.

The money she is talking about won’t even cover the interest payment on our national debt, but she has other places to spend it!

I’m having a little trouble processing this.

    1) Conservatives are impulsive and insensitive.  I guess that’s why conservatives were torching cities last summer.
    2) Extremists are thrill seeking risk takers, prone to impulsive behavior.  They also tend to be very cautious.  Uh, aren’t those completely different characteristics?

    I’m confused….

“They also posited “requiring certifications from the secretary of defense that the launch order is valid and from the attorney general that it is legal,” and it would require a congressional declaration of war or another specific authorization effort from Congress.”

Oh goodie.   “This missiles are in bound sir,  what do we do?”  “Nothing.  We are waiting on the speaker to get her hair done”.

Dems don’t get the  Constitution. President is CiC, period.  There is a chain of command involved.  We could call this “The Barney Fife” rule.  Sure, you are Commander in Chief, but Congress is going to tell when you can exercise your authority.  WTF….
It seems to me, and I am sure I am biased, that the leftist judges always vote together. On every case. The rightist ones on the other hand, don’t. can someone smarter dispel that notion?
Dems have short, possibly no, memory.  It was not long ago the rallying cry against ACB was she was going to side with Trump to decide the election.

    We know that decision went….

My tax plan – based on my old school believe taxes are for funding government operations, not social engineering. –

Tax all income the same. That is, don’t make a distinction about where the money comes from.  Wages, tips, investments, inheritance- everything.  I would exempt all income from Federal tax below $40k.  Assets like family farms or small businesses would be exempt from the tax calculation.  My thinking is to not force the family into a quick sale (or any sale if they wish to keep the farm or business). Proceeds from the sale would be taxable income when they sell.

    Way to simple……

Our downward spiral is essentially accelerating with every compromise like this.
Truer words. I don’t recognize America any more. Things are going to get interesting in ways that Progressives don’t understand.
Very true. America may be the only country where the first wave of revolutionaries where not devoured by the second wave.  Well, no.  It took over 200 years, but it is happening today.

you can see it happening. You aren’t woke enough, black enough, feminine enough ad infinitum.

Progressives will find themselves swallowed whole by the wokeism they’ve spawned.

I caught a little bit of Burry on the radio during my 10 minute commute.  (Brutal traffic tonight.. )

He added that wealth was made on speculation, not savvy investing.  The little guy never had enough to invest, and the wealthy just got wealthier.

    Does that strike a chord……

Reading the comments is depressing.  One should get used to how stupid people can be, but I still am amazed at what people believe.

Flu vaccine efficacy on its best day is close to to Jonson& Johnsons single dose.   Most of the time it’s around 40% according to the CDC.

All four cases were within 2 weeks of vaccination.  Couldn’t find the reference, but you don’t have instant immunity.  It’s possible these infections started before the second shot took full effect.  4 cases out of how many vaccinations?  meh
