I believe we have already lost our country – even if Trump wins. That will only delay the creeping erosion of our national ethos. It has me really depressed. “A republic, if you can keep it.” It looks increasingly as though we can’t.
Had a quick conversation with my roommate from B-school this afternoon. He’s very left of center and agrees completely with you. We have already lost our country, regardless of who wins. . . .
FWIW, PL, everything has a time and place. Toobin`s time and place was a tad, actually more than a tad, inappropriate, in the middle of a zoom conference call with network colleagues. Not exactly recommended biz school protocol. To make light of a bad situation, I actually hate hairy palms. I have approximately 30 palm trees on my primary residence property and they are a pain in the ass to keep trimmed. They may look great in movies but the cost and effort to maintain them is astronomical and not worth the effort. Give me a deciduous tree any day of the week.
Why not let them go au naturel?

Hairy Palms? Sounds like a low rent porn flick where Clint meets John Holmes. . . .

I’m sure the same happened with the Times story based on someone illegally releasing Trumps taxes.

Didn’t Facebook and Twitter ban that story too?
Take down an Adam Schiff, and you start a chain reaction that destroys the country.
Isn’t the alternative much, much worse? Let the corruption and the criminals stay and what do we have? So the house falls, at least we have a foundation the forefathers gave us on which to rebuild.
If it gets into the air conditioning system, or you get some on your hands and then touch your face, you’re going to get it.
Not sure if you’re serious or not about the AC. There is zero evidence that Covid is transmitted through an HVAC system. In fact, a client has been working with Kaiser Hospitals to study the possibility and they’ve concluded the same. While the virus has been found in the system, there isn’t enough to make someone ill.

That said, transmission can indeed occur if the air flows in the conditioned space blow from someone with the virus to someone without the virus for a long enough period of time. Seems like a nit, but in actuality, it’s a big difference. No amount of filtration or outside air in the system will resolve the person to person airflow issue.

Thanks for posting. Ran a search of the Covid 19 board. No mention at all there. Doesn’t fit the narrative. . . .

Useless, I don’t think so. Helpful for droplets, less helpful for aerosols for sure. But what percent effectiveness? Contamination requires both viral load and duration, so even 50% effectiveness on aerosols doubles the amount of time required to inhale enough virus to get sick. And one needs a lot more aerosols than droplets. . . .
“Brownian motion and diffusion, baby…” Sorry to tell you CardCrimson, but unless I’m an outlier, you’ve lost your audience with this simple explanation!
That’s why I provided the links.

Working with a startup in the space. I’m learning as I go, and trying to sell at the same time. Got our first commitment last week, expecting another Thursday or Friday.

Actually, masks and filters do help with filtering out small particles, even those smaller than the mask is rated to capture. Brownian motion and diffusion, baby. . . .

One thing I took away from the debate, besides that both men are pathetic and Wallace is a weasel, is that Jill Biden looked truly terrified before the debate. The weasel even made an off hand comment about it in his opening (right before his “gotcha” questions to Trump and softballs to Joe). She seemed to fear for Joe’s capabilities. . . .
