Republican strategy vs. Harris

1. First and foremost, inflation was horrendous on her watch.
2. Biden himself stated she couldn’t beat Trump.
3. Harris is less popular than Biden in almost every state.
4. When she was a senator she was the “most liberal” and they will paint her as a radical progressive who banned fracking, decriminalized illegal border crossings, eliminated cash bail, etc.
5. Hammer her in ineffective vs. illegal immigration. It was her one job, she failed, etc.
6. Tie her to all of California’s failures.
7. Most successful presidents, Dem or Repub, have come from governor seats (e.g., Reagan, both Roosevelts, Reagan, Bush, Carter, Clinton). Between JFK and Obama, there were no other sitting Senators elected President.
8. She’s weird; cackle, word salad structure, propensity to gaffes, etc.
9. She got crushed in NH and dropped out before Iowa.

Republican strategy is to tie opponents to all of the above.

Republicans are delighted that the Dems are coalescing around Harris rather than Shapiro, Whitmer, etc. You know…actual competent politicians.
