Prof Fryer started the study w/ the full expectation that he would establish as fact the racist basis of law enforcement.  He is is a very interesting and honest intellect.  I think he may be the next Thomas Sowell.  I don’t know if he can write as well as Sowell, but he has the same stubborn resolve to present the truth.

That is not why he has those documents.  It’s the only excuse  Hur could come up w/ to explain why he’s not bringing charges.  🤔

I also think there is a solid future for EV’s – emphasis on future.  There are a ton of issues that need to be much more thoroughly addressed.  Product creation, introduction and development was artificially accelerated.  There is not much demand pull for the cars other than what can be bribed to exist.  The unrealistic timetable to roll out EV’s is driven by the nightmare of impending climate Armageddon.  I think the market for EV’s has been temporarily damaged by the insane push to force people to buy them.

Truly impressive how stubbornly ignorant California legislators are!!

We have stopped teaching our citizens what democracy is.  Heck, our founders were dissatisfied with democracy.  We have tolerated largely ignorant slanted depictions of our history.  It is one thing to acknowledge and study the horrors of our past, but we spend considerable effort issuing negative propaganda about our nation,

All of our many problems are unaddressed and both parties #1 goal is to block their opposition.  It seems like this is a truly problematic flaw in our system of government.  It would be a feature, and not a bug, if the pols didn’t keep finding ways to spend ungodly amounts on meaningless or totally partisan projects.  Unfortunately, while they are accomplishing nothing, they are running up our debt.  This cannot continue.

You are right, Mick.  It is very difficult to even think of a moderate Democrat.  And what the Dems might perceive as moderate (Amy Klobucher?) isn’t really close.  Consider the fact that Hillary is among the most moderate.  I think someone might come out of nowhere at the convention, if the backlash to Wokeism develops some momentum.  Maybe Jared Polis.  🤔

What do you think of Sherrod Brown of Ohio?  I suppose he’s too moderate.  Not gonna be Newsome after that debate w/ DiSantis as well as a $68 billion deficit.  Maybe John Fetterman’s transformation will continue.  🤔

All the preparations are being made to accomodate Biden’s withdrawal from the race.  The withdrawal would be best if it were for non-political reasons.  Could happen at the convention.  They have worked out details w/ Kamala.  She’ll be placated.

So you think Allysia Finley glossed over MTL’s violations?  Honestly, I have a lot of respect for her reporting.  I have literally zero confidence in the writer for the Stanford Daily.

It truly stinks that Stanford had any connection to this effort.  The Stanford brand has been deeply damaged in recent years, whether those in charge are aware or not.

Here’s another take on this scandal.

This is true.  We’ve got bigger problems than how badly our football team sucks.

Joe and his “crew” are totally horrible people.  He, in particular, is the exact antithesis to the persona that he has dishonestly claimed to be throughout his career.  I have been stymied to find the words to express my disgust.

I don’t think he’s even really running for reelection at this point.  He’s just waiting to be told when his handlers want him to execute the plan to withdraw from the race.  They have to work out their deal with Kamala to get her out of the race.  Biden is like a “short-timer” who knows the end is coming and is putting in the absolute minimum effort in order to get the deal that has been promised him.  He is a lazy, stupid, egotistic cretin.

Hillary is still worse, but in a very different way and with greater reach.

Mick, I beg to differ.  Just the ongoing inverted yield curve suggests that a recession lies ahead.  Leading indicators are not encouraging.  Real wages have been mostly declining for the last two years and productivity increases over that period have been anemic.  And that is only a partial list.  I don’t feel particularly good about what lies ahead.

What an articulate young man.  I am impressed with the work he did on his research and he seems fair in his descriptions of events and issues.  Gives one a little ray of hope about the future of journalism.  😉
