I don’t think that the partisan Ds and their allies in the press will care. “ nothing burger” again. We are in so much trouble . Rotting more and more every day. Corruption, cronyism …
BD? Not impressed with Jennifer at energy or Pete B. The most incompetent cabinet I have seen in a long time.
gpn38ParticipantWe are so fuc*& d. I am glad I will be dead when these imbeciles ( and their parents) fully take over.
it kills me that the values which made our country exceptional are now passé.
gpn38ParticipantTour de Force Mick.
I also grew up with the bank. As a VC , they were the bank of choice for most my and firm Investments. Roger Smith ( founder) was a neighbor. Solid guy. Greg had( has) more gravitas and somewhere these people had enough vision and competence to become 16 th largest in US with a fairly niche strategy. The demise is shocking in its simplicity.
I am hoping that given its crucial importance to the tech sector someone in the valley will do a buy out and keep the main business alive. They don’t need to be in investment banking, wine and other corollaries they expanded into.if they don’t make it, the world of tech banking will change forever and not for the best. I still remember when Wells Fargo, BoA et al wouldn’t work with my Start ups.
gpn38ParticipantDon’t forget.
23: No girls. The brilliant one child policy…
gpn38ParticipantThe group that did the research is “ non partisan” but known for their left wing tilt. People are voting with their feet. That is all I need to know.
gpn38ParticipantYet they refuse to accept that paying people a higher amount to stay home than to work is a major culprit in how the numbers turned out.
gpn38ParticipantThe Left in its search for the oppressed, sympathizes with the Palestinians. Blinken is too blinded by ideology to acknowledge his roots. Pretty sad actually.
gpn38ParticipantI voted with my vote:).
We think too much like VCs or hedge fund guys or even buy out types. So our answers are obvious. I am not sure teachers, social workers, lawyers etc… see things that way.
I make the same exact analogy. Have a guy I don’t necessarily like at the helm, but who delivers every quarter v/s the nice guy/ willing shmuck who screws it up everywhere. What choice do I have as a fiduciary. I go with Orange.
March 22, 2021 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Half of Republican men say they don’t want the vaccine. #4506gpn38ParticipantYou guys ( beyond ts)can’t let Trump go. You won. He s gone.
I saw an interview of DT with Maria Bartiromo last week where he encouraged people to get the vaccine. Of course it as in his own inimatable inarticulate way. I chuckled.gpn38ParticipantNot sure wether I should laugh or cry.
gpn38ParticipantIt seems to me, and I am sure I am biased, that the leftist judges always vote together. On every case. The rightist ones on the other hand, don’t. can someone smarter dispel that notion?
February 23, 2021 at 6:19 pm in reply to: Janet Yellen wants to raise corporate and income taxes… #4403gpn38ParticipantBiden”s tax plan would increase corporate taxes to 28%. Personal income taxes to 39.6%, and he would tax capital gains ( long and short) and dividends at the marginal tax rate for anyone making over $400,000. That is why the clusterfuck in Georgia was painful. They can do this through reconciliation.
gpn38ParticipantMakary is a very credible guy. I hope he is right and all of the doomsayers take it in the shorts. Of course Biden will get the credit if he and his posse can get out of their own way.

February 16, 2021 at 4:16 pm in reply to: People who have been fully vaccinated are getting COVID #4356gpn38ParticipantFrom day 1 of reporting this, the press has committed malpractice and they continue to. Writers, editors, checkers. All imbeciles. Scary.
gpn38ParticipantKellyanne used to be cute ten plus years ago. But all the years with george and four years of Orange will take it out of you.
