Great line:

“Wokeness wants to make comedy illegal,” Musk continued, adding “Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation, and hate? At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be cruel, armored in false virtue.”

Mick, you already know the answer to this. Republican women have pointed it out and are disgusted by her being portrayed as a role model. Democratic women, those that have the voices on most media and in politics, need her as a person of color and politician and therefore looked the other way, even to the point of putting her up as a model for America’s young women.

Ironically, it’s very similar to the Republicans needing Trump, and holding their nose while they voted for him. That said, few Republicans looked to the man as a role model. . . .

Not much to disagree with there.

Unfortunately, no changes made thus far. None of our coaches have been recruited away. . . .

NBC’s Nightly News averages around 8.5 million viewers each night. ABC’s World News Tonights is right behind them at around 8.3 million. Norah O’Donnell at CBS is way behind at 5.5 million viewers. All shows are way left of center, though not as far left as MSNBC and CNN. There isn’t a non-cable network that leans right or is even impartial.

Tucker Carlson Tonight, Fox’s highest rated show, averages 3.5 million viewers,  with The Five around the same. Drop offs for everyone else. So not even including MSNBC and CNN’s lackluster viewership, over 6 times get there “news” from left leaning sources every night. Not that I call Carlson’s show news, Brett Baier’s Special Report is pretty fair and balanced news, and draws about 2.8 million, still only half of O’Donnell’s lowest on air network news.

Nothing to worry about. Mayor Pete is on his way to rescue the Dems. . . .
Not to worry. The Legal Intelligencer claims that the media is actually harsher on Democrats. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2021/08/why-the-media-is-worse-for-biden-than-trump.html Ha. Ha. Ha.
“The other half of the media is a right-wing messaging apparatus that makes no effort to follow traditional journalistic norms. Republicans communicate to their base through a media that functionally operates as part of their party, while Democrats communicate to their base through a media that still exerts substantial independence. If you want to understand the strange difficulty that Joe Biden’s sane, competent administration has in yielding measurably higher approval than Trump’s insane, incompetent presidency, the asymmetrical relationship between the two parties and their respective media environments is the most important place to start.”

    Beyond belief. . . .

Not sure how you came to that conclusion:

Clearly the powers that be thought the intent was racist and demeaning. Sadly, not even close.

Cleese is the best. Loved Monty Python, their ridicule was merciless, but hilarious. Pet shop owners, lumberjacks, gumbies and twits are now safe. . . .

Would love to see a collaboration effort by Cleese and Mel Brooks, would be wonderful in today’s woke environment.

Biden wants to be just like FDR and Johnson, with his Build Back Better plan giving away more than the New Deal or the Great Society. Both also miscalculated global threats and got us into major wars, will Joe follow in their footsteps?

Biden, Harris, Abrams and Obama all campaigned hard for McAuliffe. Just goes to show. . . .

Too bad the midterms aren’t right now before things really get bad for the country.
