cardcrimsonParticipantFun read. Thanks.
cardcrimsonParticipantAnd now eBay has removed the books as well, apparently all of a sudden they violate eBay policy regarding selling offensive material.
Odd though, eBay actually sponsors listing for t-shirts with images of Confederate Generals. . . .

cardcrimsonParticipantYep, gas in November around $2.80 a gallon, if not lower at the cheap stations. Now over $3.60 at those same stations. Thanks Joe!
cardcrimsonParticipantOne showed a Chinese man (oddly, a boy in the “I think I saw it on Mulberry Street” version we have) wearing a traditional Chinese robe and pants, wooden clogs, a pagoda hat, and eating a bowl of rice with chopsticks. Frankly, the other caricatures were much more pointed, especially the mayor and aldermen.
Another showed two Africans, in a strange portion of the continent, wearing grass like skirts, no shirt, and admittedly somewhat monkey like features.
I guess they forgot his classic “The Sneetches”.
cardcrimsonParticipantNot sure I understand the trolling comment, don’t see “bus” in the article at all. Perhaps an early version of the story couldn’t square 25+ people with a Ford SUV.
On another sad note, the border, after a few years of stability, is once again in crisis. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipant
Tough break.
Indeed. Reports are compound fractures. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantEnergy policy is indeed ridiculous. Just look at the electrification of California. A friend runs a boiler business–serious boilers. An extremely well known company in the Silicon Valley recently changed their plans to replace a planned 95% efficient gas boiler plant with a 95% electric boilers to be “green”.
What they didn’t add into the calculations is that California averages a 9% loss in transmission of electricity, and that the plants generating that electricity average less than 50% efficiency. Granted, not all of PGE’s power comes from fossil fuels, but if the percentage is anything but marginal, their decision was a net loss for the planet.
cardcrimsonParticipantI thought it was because JJ Watt decided to leave Houston. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantFor what it’s worth, when I worked for a major HVAC company in the 90s, their climate expert told me the models showed a slow increase in overall temps, but the volatility would increase more significantly, so higher highs, lower lows, more rain, less rain, etc. Proving to be correct, but the casualty is still in question.
Still, the science in the 70s and early 80s pointed to the oncoming ice age. . . .

cardcrimsonParticipantAfter what he’s done to the kids of this state over the last 11 months? Absolutely. The businesses, the economy, the lack of preparedness for the vaccine, the French Laundry, his winery, his restaurants have all be bad enough. But what he’s allowed to teacher’s union to do to the kids of this state is just as bad as what Cuomo did to the senior citizens in New York.
cardcrimsonParticipantKhan!
cardcrimsonParticipantThese days, it kind of fits, doesn’t it?
cardcrimsonParticipant
I do. he is a D in a blue state. See Northam in Virginia.
The difference this this time, is that he betrayed his own party and left them in the dark, too. The comments from some on the call is somewhat telling.
cardcrimsonParticipantGreat news, but more importantly, when will he be posting again?!?

cardcrimsonParticipantEven Newsweek says the omission did indeed happen. Stunning admission.
