cardcrimsonParticipantThough I didn’t grow up in the Pacific Northwest, I did see a bunch of the Rainier Beer ads. Great as well.
April 9, 2021 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Giants require ID to attend; MLB moves out of Georgia over ID required to vote #4614
cardcrimsonParticipantWait. It’s discriminatory for a state to require an ID to vote, because people of color can’t get ID’s. Too hard, too expensive. To ask them to, is Jim Crow, no, Jim Eagle type regulations.
But to require a fan to have an ID isn’t similarly discriminatory? Guess MLB and the Giants don’t want people of color in the stands (or buying beers).
cardcrimsonParticipantAnd in an incredible act of transparency, the Customs and Border Patrol Agency has taken down the original press release announcing the capture of these guys, because it wasn’t properly vetted.
Not sure if George Orwell or the twin redheads from Good Morning Vietnam are approving the press releases these days. . ..

Biden‘s handlers know that they need to get as much done as possible between now and the first Tuesday in November, 2022…just 19 short months away. The Republicans will play defense as much as they possibly can.
Fixed it for you.
cardcrimsonParticipant
Not a bad take by Noonan. She’s way too easy on Biden but then again so is everybody in the news. Talked to the president of a concrete business with ops in the southeast. His take on the infrastructure spending is that there won’t be people to do the jobs. They can’t find people today and things are blowing and going. Remember that Biden was in charge of “shovel ready jobs” back in the day…and there was no such thing. Just another political slogan. The Dems are in power. They get to call the shots. Those are facts. In an era where it’s increasingly acceptable to just call the opposition stupid and then do what you want without them, those facts are going to lead to some really ugly places.
Biden’s already taking care of that, just look to the Southern border. Talked with a CEO of a similar infrastructure company, he can’t find employees, either, and every time there is a stimulus check, he loses employees for weeks.
cardcrimsonParticipantAt least some people get it. My daughter’s high school and the affiliated boys school next door are running a stage production of 1984. Opens the week after spring break.
cardcrimsonParticipant

Risk management is a lost art for individuals but a must have for companies of any size. Freight carriers usually are on the frontlines of risk management, and I suspect that the freight carriers won’t get pinned down by this one. Where supply chain shocks like this hurt is when companies and governments choose to run supply chains “lean” because they can. Too lean equals too risky……. Got me thinking about energy risk management by governments. We achieved energy independence during the Trump administration. It was an easy formula. Fracking. Nat gas. Drill more. Keystone on deck. It was within reach all along. Now the Biden central planners have unwound the independence and increased the risk. They must know but apparently don’t care. We had low cost abundant energy and pissed it all away.
And gas prices are up 30%. Go figure.
cardcrimsonParticipantAt least it’s not masquerading as an SUV. Cool looking car from the back, though I’d imagine the blind spots would be terrible.

cardcrimsonParticipantJust the other day, my 14 year old daughter and I were laughing at a $227k Lamborghini SUV. Just the idea of one is ridiculous at best, and at that price tag, ludicrous at worst.
cardcrimsonParticipantAnd if you don’t think we work to influence their elections, I’ve some land to sell you.

cardcrimsonParticipant

Yep, Trumps daily tantrums have been replaced by Biden’s daily verbal and physical stumbles. Though the MSM avoiding coverage of them.
You can change the subject but you can’t change the fact you support the hate America first party and a senile career do nothing as POTUS. Nice try.
Huh? Who said that I support the Dems or am glad that Biden is POTUS? Got the wrong guy.
cardcrimsonParticipant
“The Washington Post screwed up by using supposed direct quotes based on memory of someone instead of a summary.” Publishing an editorial as factual reporting? Your reading of intent in a “summary”? So much for your career on the faculty at a school of journalism.
Sadly, that is journalism today. . . .
March 22, 2021 at 5:00 pm in reply to: Half of Republican men say they don’t want the vaccine. #4505
cardcrimsonParticipantWith all of the mask mandates, lockdowns, school closures and the like, California still struggled mightily over the winter with a serious, serious outbreak. Why? Trump drove the vaccine bullet train, and thankfully that alone may get us out of the pandemic while all of Newsom’s histrionics did nothing.
cardcrimsonParticipantYep, Trumps daily tantrums have been replaced by Biden’s daily verbal and physical stumbles. Though the MSM avoiding coverage of them.
