This is right up there with exercise ropes hanging in trees and a rope handle on a garage door being characterized as a noose.

we are at the point where if the most offended person possible can see something as an offense, then we are collectively responsible for the offense and must change our behavior.

    The politics of pseudo-shame.
Well, it seems everyone associated with the Clintons eventually suffers a mysterious death. Even the fundraisers. It`s a fairly long list going back over 30 years.
You would deserve scorn for being a conspiracy theorist if the darn Clinton friend suicides weren’t so darned common.

I mean, seriously, how many people have that many folks in their inner circles commit suicide?

Great quote BD. There’s a reason that the term “lawlessness” has a negative connotation, and the CHOP-ers appear to be learning it.

I wonder how bad it has to get to overcome the individual’s commitment to “anything goes” principles.

i also hope there is a documentary film crew all over filming the aftermath of this utopia.

Kind of interesting.  Wonder if the mayor now has liability for allowing the police to be obstructed and allowing a murder to happen?
how is this really any different than Chicago?
And that is a good thing?

One shooting death isn’t notable.  The obstruction of well-meaning police, however, is.

Chicago is on a whole-‘nother level. Two young kids killed over this weekend. One was a 3-year-old toddler.

Imagine what the most violent areas of Chicago would look like without policing.

I guess they brought the dead and wounded out of the CHOP?  I thought they would just provide their own services.

Lord of the Flies.  Children trying to govern themselves with childish concepts.  It will only get worse.

Question:  Why wouldn’t people who block the police from responding be arrested on the spot for at least obstructing an investigation???

    Good question!

also. I guess there was a huge campaign to reserve rally tix by lefties. Pretty poor sportsmanship but all’s fair.

Well, a day later and the discussion is how trump didn’t come close to filling the tulsa arena.  nowhere close.

I’m not at all surprised but I think it also has to be weighed against the amount of rational and irrational fearmongering on both the covid and antifa fronts.

I think I have turned off the spam feature.  If spam becomes a problem we’ll figure that out, but it shouldn’t.

    Found it.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.  The board software has a spam filter that has caught a few posts.  I think it’s due to the pasted text.

Since we only have people on here who are known / approved and since there is no automated approval, I will see if I can find how to turn that feature off.

I didn’t know about it and it took me a bit to find where your post had landed.

What an awful picture.  Biden is going to win and we are going to be wondering what we were thinking.

I remember people making jokes about Biden being Obama’s insurance against assassination.  Well, I genuinely think anybody who votes for Biden is actually voting for his VP.  In that way, Biden is likely a massive, old, white trojan horse for the progressive left.  Biden’s age upon taking office will be older than Reagan’s the day he left office.
You can hate the ruling, you can hate the rule itself, but if the shoe were on the other foot, you’d love the rule. And that shoe may change feet again in November. Same type of thing as the poor dems are reaping now with the Harry REid rule in the Senate.
Truth.

DACA is an extralegal program.  If it’s “valid” because one president (well, cabinet secretary in Obama’s example) declared it so, then it should be invalid if another president declared it so; but that’s not how things work.  It’s mean to remove a program that benefits people, and we don’t want the government to be mean.  Except to conservatives…those we can be mean to.
