Great results. It baffles me that half the country, specifically, the ones who claim  follow science have ignored his management of this awful virus. Right now, NY is considering another shutdown or some further tightening. How can we be so polarized even on such an issue as Covid Mgmt.

By the way, if his results were bad, he would be on the front page of the NYT, Wash Post, etc… Ridiculous.

By the way, does anyone in the mainstream press want to investigate Sweden?  I am curious how they are doing v Spain and France and Italy. Disease management wise and economically.

I guess taking Trump is a good to great bet. Since I am not a bettor, I don’t like this format by the way. This format doesn’t reflect the odds of who is going to win but what it would take for someone to bet on the underdog. Weird way of thinking.
More and more it is looking to me like the pollsters are wrong again, given the magnitude of the variances. Biden by 5 sure. Biden by 13 give  me a f ING break. Are you sampling NY, SF and Seattle? Only?

do these guys have bosses or do they not mind being grossly wrong for the cause of dethroning Orange man.

Mick, a final question for you to ponder: if you were a “ shy Trump voter” are you more or less likely to tell a pollster which way you will vote  this year v/s 2016. At least four years ago, you were just deplorable, This time, if you vote for Trump, you are a racist, xenophobe, anti Semitic,  gay hating, science denying cretin.

Simplistic and so short sighted, but as rjn aptly points out, these are the clowns who brought us 2008 and suffered no consequences. One wonders if these folks studied economics in school( though even in Econ, academia has been infiltrated by the Left). There is no free lunch and at some point the gig will be up. If these geniuses looked slightly deeper, they would realize that the Trump boom was more about decreasing regulations than any other fiscal action ( tax cuts included). The Ds will increase regulations and then the engine of growth will be gutted ( see 8 years of Obama Biden).
An eminent economist I respected just put out a piece that the Biden tax increases will be neutralized by the decrease in tariffs from the D administration. So all is fine. How stupid and inaccurate is that statement.

Indeed Rocky. It does feel like the four horsemen of the apocalypse for those of us who are trying to keep America special.
14 days of quarantine. POTUS is 70 plus and overweight. He has been under severe stress and his immune system is probably shot.  If he was my father, I would be seriously concerned about his well being( he is my President and I am concerned btw). This is yet another test of his durability. Assuming he pulls through health wise, how he handles this will determine the short term future of our nation. The country and world will be watching what happens to him and FLOTUS. Will the people rally behind their tireless leader or will they use the sickness excuse to bypass him and put the cautious and perhaps less cautious old man on the throne. Now they can both campaign from their respective basements.

2020 keeps the pressure on the good old USA.

Not sure about strategy, but Trump did not win any suburban mothers back😁.

I try to avoid hyperbole, but a D sweep would be bad for the Republic.

Sean  Trende on RCP had an interesting take on the debate. Basically not your fathers Oldsmobile.
Hah! Good one. Seems that the higher your unemployment rate, the more you are likely to sing the blues. Now let’s do Covid cases, no, wait, let’s do Covid case rates, because everybody knows that’s all that matters.
not  sure the blue states do very well with that metric either…
All I can say is get your popcorn ready, this is going to bring out the long knives. and, yes I agree with you about rbg’s actions, but this isn’t really the time for it. We all knew this was coming. RIP.
whatever happens, THIS is going to be entertaining. POTUS has nothing to lose and a lot to gain here. Honestly, Gardner, McSally, and maybe Collins are toast anyway. So they can vote as they see fit. Daines and Tillis will reinforce their party credentials by voting yes to a Trump nominee. The Ds will do all they can to avoid a vote and will be seen as obstructionists and anyone who cares about the court on the R side will have to show up and vote. Locked up due to a D governor with nothing to do?. This will be better than Netflix.
    popcorn ready hell yes.

Great politics though. Tails I win, heads you lose.
