Trump is not done.   There are 68,000,000 people who voted for him so far and want an accounting for every state and vote which may be in question.  Because news media says a state is won means nothing if there were illegal activities.  The vote is what the secretary of each state certifies after the count and challenges.   The entire country needs to understand that the results were fair and conclusive going forward.  Win or lose.  These last states have an unmistakable and verifiable stench.

As to the normalcy we all crave in the White House just keep in mind presumptive President Joe Biden’s resume.  Particularly with regard to China and the “family business”.  Not good.  What’s worse is that as VP, you can be sure the FBI and CIA knew everything about him and looked the other way.  Toxic brew.

Let’s not even get into Kamala Harris.

I’m not picking on Portland, just observing.  And I’m beginning to see signs of bad social behavior in my area.  Couple of days ago two couples screaming at each other in a grocery store. And then going outside and seeing a couple of people screaming at each other in a car.  It was unnerving.

Covid, social media, and politics are a toxic brew.  Politicians should be aware of these  problems and not pander to those that are uncivil at a minimum.

“Anyone there after 10PM was arrested. Portland – a city with so much potential cursed by leaders with so little vision.
”

As someone who has never set foot in Portland I humbly disagree.  As a matter of fact I live closer to Dublin than Portland.  But as a casual observer, I suspect there are significant mental health problems in the city.  The social norms seem to have a low floor.  The leaders conform to the norm.  Fix that and you hit your potential.

Part of the incentive as I understand it is to ensure that skilled employees show up for work.   That’s a large chain from the people who sanitize and clean to skilled nursing, physician assistants, diagnostic and lab techs to the billing dept.  Some patients never even see an MD.  MDs can be off site and consult.

It all seems a little extreme to me but the health care system and our politicians  did not anticipate this and prepare for it.  Even the  highly regarded Dr Fauci.

If there is a vaccine, you will still be wearing a mask until cleared through serological testing at least into 2022.
Heard on the news this morning that Rodeo Drive and other prominent areas are going to close down and be barricaded the day of, the evening of, and the day after the election. We truly have become a banana republic. . . .
I prefer absurdistan.

I wish I could come up with a better term that more accurately describes a body politic that has such widespread dementia, anxiety among other mental disorders simultaneously.

“She’s not cut out to be President. I wouldn’t elect her Mayor of a mid-sized town. And she’ll probably be the American President at some point.”

I’m delighted she’s running.  After a nationwide search for the best person in America to run as a #2 on the Democrat ticket, she fits the bill perfectly with Joe Hiden and his other running mate Covid 19.

Gives a little insight into Trump’s thinking about Obama.  During the transition Obama warns him that his biggest problem is going to be North Korea and that the one person he can’t trust in his administration would be Mike Flynn who Obama had fired.  Doing just the opposite, Trump hires Flynn who Trump viewed as a strong advocate of the US  and then he immediately takes control of the North Korea problem and actually arranges to talk to him.  Diffusing his “biggest problem” up to this point.

Trump clearly did not trust anything that came out of Obama’s mouth.   Turns out that Obama was not the guy to trust.

20 people got felony convictions in Watergate.  What’s the over and under for Obamagate?

I don’t have a link to the movie but can give you the trailer below. Amazon finally picked it  up and if you have Amazon on your TV just do a search and you’ll find it.  Saw it last night and it’s disturbing.  Gives a lot of detail that I never heard about.   Especially Mike Flynn.  Well worth the time to view it.

Of course but let’s all be honest about it.  Those people who prefer her are in on the joke.  Most people not.  There were 3 candidates on stage last night.  Two have no popular support and could never even get a whiff as a candidate.  One has a lot of popular support. The presumptive President, Harris, has no popular support nor has to debate issues much less identify what she plans to do.   Sounds  like fiction but it’s not.

If Biden wins, the mainstream media immediately starts stories about his unfitness for office. Everyone plays their part until Kamala is sworn in.

    Reality is often pathetic.

I will be very surprised if Trump is not re-elected.

Biden looked frail.  Tripped over words. The camera and lights are not kind to anyone of that age.   You could not help but see the contrast with a trimmed down more robust Trump who got China virus, overcame it and got back to work and back to campaigning quickly.  Impressive.  I’d guess a lot of voters silently wonder if Biden could overcome the virus at all should he get it.   There is a glaring reason why Biden campaigns so little and it was on display.  He’s not up to it.   And Biden can get dark. Negative. Like his running mate, he’s a downer.   As the evening wore on he wore down especially with his mega gaff at the end.

To the average voter, especially young people, Biden doesn’t look like a pile of good luck just walking around.
Makes one wonder when will someone connect the real reason for Trump’s impeachment. For all the chest thumping and and incontrovertible evidence, nothing happened until Donald asked the Ukranian president for help investigating the Biden/Burisma connection. In hindsight, there must have been a collective ass puckering in DC when the word leaked. Boys and girls occupying the big offices looked for any way they could to stop that conversation, and impeachment followed.
Yes, it seems that the real reason was in the Bondi presentation in the impeachment trial.

In the brief that the Democrat impeachment managers submitted and in the 21 hours of testimony by the managers, Hunter Biden and Burisma were mentioned over 400 times.   The thrust being that there was nothing to see at all.  That the accusations were a sham by the President.  Baseless.   Why did they do it?  They did it because they said the President had to be impeached and removed from office for raising a concern.  Ultimately the Democrats were protecting the bad behaviors of the Obama Administration and punishing the President for his interest.

Kudos to Schiff and Nadler for almost pulling this off.  And  all Democrat  Senators knew it and still voted to impeach save 1.  And the FBI knew it because they had the Biden hard drive.

Portland doesn’t have a problem with the choices for mayor.  Rather, they have widespread mental health problems within the body politic.  20% of all adults worldwide suffer from mental disorders.  I’d imagine it is much higher in Portland and Seattle.  Oregon ranks #1 in depression in the US with a rate of 25%.

Combined with other antisocial factors, Portland is literally a sick place.  Covid has compounded it.  Wouldn’t be surprised if we have a big surge in mental health problems nationally pretty soon.

Biden was picked by Tom Perez and company specifically to play his role.  Not in spite of his history but because of it.  He’s like a DH.  Biden knows that the media, the Justice Dept, Congress and the intelligence community won’t touch him.  He likely was a big help for his old boss Obama on how things worked and he will do the same for trainee Harris.   His operational and ethical boundaries are now shown to be very low.  Which is the whole point.
