There are over 100,000 unoccupied residences in Detroit proper.”

Perhaps Gavin can make a deal to solve CA’s homeless crisis?

How could a judge not see this as a frivolous law suit. The plaintiff should be required to post bond for attorneys fees before the matter moves forward.

Ahhh yes, The NY Times problem/problems du jour.

Here is an alternate perspective that prioritizes other circumstances as the root cause of underperforming kids. sociological problems that have been ignored/out of favor by government and school leadership. Another “Moynihan” problem.

    https://justthenews.com/nation/crime/monfatherless-children-dangerous-cities-numbers-confirm-deep-roots-us-urban-crime.

I am certain it would be difficult to stand in front of a class full of kids from single parent families and present statistics about the relative failure of such kids.  But isn’t about time we prepared kids for real life decisions?

But instead our courageous leaders modify school curriculums to include CRT, white privilege, gender fluidity and affirmative care for transitioning?  I can’t imagine a larger failure of leadership.

It’s time leaders had to show some balls before their names were placed on a ballot.

Perhaps it would be productive to formally list all the programs and public policy failures that over time have lead to these intransigent failures?

Identify the full extent of the funding that has been lost and continues to be spent on these failures.

Absent this approach how do you itemize the full extent of necessary changes?  How do you understand the net investment, positive or negative that is required to fund your strategic redirection. And most importantly, how do you make strategic staffing decisions for execution of the new direction.

Plus the tax payers might have a passing interest?

Is there a light at the end of the tunnel?  Will moderates from both parties have greater sway in this Congress?  Can they agree on necessary reforms?

I agree. In fact one recent ex-president proposed a skills based immigration screening regimen, didn’t he?  But that’s not what we have now is it?

I think the democrats may be confused with their narratives. They may not succeed in turning these polls around.

My favorite congressman Hank Johnson, the GA clairvoyant who predicted that South Pacific islands might tip over due to unbalanced defense infrastructure investments, has announced that republicans planted secret documents from the Obama era in Joe’s office, his garage and adjoining rooms.

Personally, I don’t think republicans are smart enough to steal documents years ago and secretly store them just in case Trump were ever to face a document retention investigation. But hey, what do I know?

Fascinating to me Mick is wondering when it’s going to hit the fan for open borders. Seems to me the policy will fracture the Democratic coalition.

What are the long term consequences of importing a low skilled population that is heavily dependent on government services?

There are roughly 2.7 million Native Americans spread across the country. How do they feel about necessary services reductions as money is spread across annual illegal inflows equal to their population?

We’re starting to see the backlash with the two college admissions cases before the USSC. I think this is only the beginning. Reintroducing systemic racism/race based preferences is folly not policy. Let’s hope the nine wise souls understand and appreciate the perspectives of Sandra Day O’Conner and begin to introduce legal prohibitions against this foolishness before the executive branch tries to pervert eligibility rules governing social safety net programs.

I imagine McCarthy will ultimately prevail. If I were he, two quick steps, require members to be in the building to vote. Second reorder the schedule canceling vacation days and in district days to fully replace the time lost on these votes.

Show a commitment to the people’s business and share the pain. If it gets in the way of AOC wearing a statement dress to this years Met Gala on May 1, so be it.  😂

McCarthy is demonstrating his incompetence/inability to handle the job. He has no leverage until he wins the speakership.

He’s left to old school back room politics. Dissemble about issues, opponents and how he intends to get to 218. I saw an interview with Chip Roy. The Republican dissidents advanced him for the Rules Committee to insure that members would have an opportunity to read bills before a vote. No more omnibus style votes. McCarthy dismissed the offer publicly claiming it was individuals seeking personal power.

This bull deceives voters and hides the issues in play. Inside baseball. No way to drain the swamp with important matters purposely held from view.

I hope the dissidents hold firm and force McCarthy to capitulate. I think it’s his only way for him to get the job and then see if he’s up to it. He’ll have some measure of increased leverage after he wins the job.

In the meantime, the not so lovable Newsom is crying over the influx of immigrants taking advantage of laws and social programs that benefit illegals. “Newsom claimed the U.S. government is sending “more and more” migrants to California because the state is “taking care of folks.””

Same old, same old…government pukes spending more than is available in their dreams trying to buy votes. See student loan forgiveness, draining the SPR, cutting reimbursement rates for home solar power generation and ending/shortening carpool lane access for buyers of green vehicles.

These guys are Lucy and voters are Charlie Brown.

Who cares about Hunter?  What did Joe know and when did he know it?  What’s behind the 150 Biden family transactions that were flagged by banking institutions.  How did his campaign and governmental institutions collude with media properties to deceive the electorate in the 2020 cycle?  What precise activities were taken by the DoJ during the year they had the laptop? What happens to our position/influence as the oil market shifts to yuan based transactions?

I can’t even guess what Texas, Colorado, Alaska and North Dakota were demanding to produce more oil if this was the best deal Biden could cut.

We have the leadership we choose…based on the ballots we can harvest.
