cardcrimsonParticipant
February 17 article Einstein. The Dark Ages of Covid Jung. Now we all should know better Madame Curie.
Wait. He was supposed to be the foremost expert on infectious diseases with a lifetime of experience. So when he said on February 17th, that masks won’t protect you (though they may protect someone from you) and that store bought cloth masks are worthless, we weren’t suppose to believe him?
Ironically, to your point earlier that the virus is aerosolized, the store bought cloth masks and even the surgical masks may indeed be worthless. Frankly, we are still in the Dark Ages of Covid. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantJust saw this from Dr Fauci. Really great advice. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipant
Has there ever been this many studies. I don’t pay attention to them. They are all over the place. The greatest example of “too many chefs spoil the broth” that I’ve ever seen.
Saw that you posted similar on tos. Don’t go there very often since I was booted from the Covid forum. Got a good laugh on the thread with the video of the unstable woman ripping apart a mask display at Target, especially when the responsibility was blamed on Fox News, that Fox had driven this type of behavior.
Unbelievable.
cardcrimsonParticipantWould love to see Tulsi Gabbard. Tough, calls them as she sees them. A little left for me, but who isn’t nowadays.
cardcrimsonParticipantand to make matters more interesting, Bottoms announced she’s tested positive for Covid-19. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantI didn’t claim that the WHO and CDC were correct. I clearly believe that Covid can be aerosol. I don’t think that it will be transmitted through ducted HVAC systems, though, at least not easily. That said, I don’t think UVC is a bad idea, better filtration or more outside are will required total system overhauls to account for the increased pressure drops and/or the extra capacity required to condition outside air.
And yes, there will be a ton of money thrown at the solutions for offices, etc. And I’m looking at taking advantage of that.
cardcrimsonParticipantThere is not a single documented case of the virus being transmitted through an HVAC system. The WHO, the CDC, Johns Hopkins have all stated that HVAC is not a cause for concern regarding spreading the virus. ASHRAE has gone on record, saying it’s unlikely, though not impossible. UVC, HEPA filters and 100% outside air are kinda like prayer, what’s the harm. . . .
Transmission, though, is much more likely due to the airflows between people with in a building. A fan blowing air from an infected person to a well person for an extended period of time will probably infect the well person.
cardcrimsonParticipantWell, we probably won’t be complaining about Shaw’s offense, or lack thereof. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantDeath rates, as well as total cases in Contra Costa have spiked recently with little public explanation from the county as to where the increases are happening. That said, there was a news report that at one senior facility in Concord, 18 people have recently died in a major outbreak. So much for super protection. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipant
Frankly, I don’t give a damn.
At least get the quote right. It is, perhaps, the most memorable line in movie history. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipantI think akiddoc was referring to frick and frack, aka cardforevermore and fooff, who on multiple occasions posted some pretty racist and offensive stuff.
That said, the cardboard is a echo chamber worse than t-dome was. I got booted from the Covid board because I didn’t buy the crap the were shoveling.
cardcrimsonParticipantYou can thank Adam Silver and LeBron James for that beacon. . . .
our policy on Hong Kong has been a beacon of light in their darkness.
cardcrimsonParticipant
Trump’s failure of leadership on Covid-19 is catastrophic. It is almost impossible to politicize a pandemic (viruses have no friends), but he has managed to do so. The FBI malfeasance might be a major story in a different climate. But it is irrelevant. I think Donald Trump is going to depart the stage in November, and thank God for that. His achievements are dwarfed by his deliberate divisiveness.
What is one to believe? I read on TOS that you’re a Trump loving sycophant that sees no wrong with the Donald. . . .
cardcrimsonParticipant
I am willing to listen, but as you both point out, we need to solve for the long term. By the way, with some whites, there could be an unintended consequence of having washed the sins off and not wanting to deal with racism anymore.
What sins? My forefathers fought to free the slaves and one was held as a POW. My grandfather wasn’t a racist, nor was my dad. I think I’ve been pretty fair throughout my life. Again, what sins need to be washed off and why should my tax dollars pay for it?
cardcrimsonParticipantIt’s really scary, agreed. Here’s the link to their “activism” page:
