I would worry less about the lawyers who can’t do math, and more about the doctors at the American Medical Association who fed that statistic to the lawyers, then the law clerks, and ultimately to Justice Jackson. The fact that doctors can no longer do math, and are willing to peddle garbage statistics as the basis for policy should be the most concerning part of this entire affair.
It’s incredible how much of medicine is based on a single study with a small sample size.

Student loan forgiveness requires Congressional approval, and state anti-discrimination laws can’t be used to compel speech.
We watched “The Battle of Algiers” for History CIV. Great movie. Apparently the French, having adopted American culture, want a sequel.

Not sure how much the City tried to defend the tests. But just because you got a degree doesn’t mean you know things (or should be teaching).
Keep in mind that inflation is still happening, just at a slower pace.

Inflation is a regressive, compounding, permanent tax on the poor. This is the most important economic policy lesson we can teach the younger generations.
The hotel REITs turning those hotels over to lenders halfway through the mortgage terms are the most shocking to me. I assume after the tax consequences, it was still financially advantageous to abandon the properties. Parc 55 and Club Quarters are really nice hotels. Park Hotels and Resorts stock went up 2% after the announcement (but is down on interest rate concerns).
I don’t think he’s going to win, but I don’t mind him getting onto the debate stage and taking out, say, Marco Rubio. He’s funny, though.
I don’t think a lot of the criticisms of other candidates are landing from any of the candidates at this point. Those with affirmative messages seem to have the most momentum.
