I think 2020 is about risk management. One side sells fear; Covid, abortion rights, health care, white nationalism. They seek a cacooning electorate that will willingly defer to government and politicians with a “plan”. Save me please, life is too complex for me to satisfy all my wants.

The other side pushes an undisciplined risk taker…albeit one who hasn’t been burned…yet. Orange has hit 16 on China trade, NATO, the economy, and I’d argue Covid.

The former is selling a bureaucracy that is unmanageable and too a significant degree ineffective at the formulation of solutions to problems. Perfectly portrayed as Vindman, the Clinton hoax, impeachment & “not so shovel ready jobs”.

The alternative will push too far and the cost be too high. But not so far.

I also assume some Republicans are just as bad

    You’re preaching to the choir.

Something smells here. Since when does Paul Pelosi pay retail for an investment position?  Political cover demands a material discount.

My bet, the disclosure about deal terms is incomplete.

Maria Bartiromo, claiming medical sources, asks Orange if Biden has in fact had two brain aneurysms?  Orange took a pass.

Another October surprise?  Another issue voters don’t deserve an answer to?

Trafalgar has Orange up in AZ, OH & MI in there latest updates.

The efforts at and commitment to voter suppression runs deep in the left.

I imagine there will be another twist in the road. We’ll see.

I’m very concerned that we are going to face a ton more uncertainty under a Biden presidency than These bankers realize.”

It’s amusing to to see the executives who are well compensated for managing risk to insure open, free flowing & efficient financial markets engage in political discussions to minimize the risks they must effectively manage to earn their returns.

It is similarly amusing that they would focus on domestic fiscal policy. Perhaps delusional?  If memory serves, we’ve had two major financial/economic dislocations in the last 12 years. The first caused by Wall Street risk management policy. The second caused by a foreign government.

I don’t see suggestions for the effective management of these risks in the linked article. Nothing on mission critical supply chains?  Nothing on the effective oversight of global biohazard research?  Nothing on exploiting current Chinese malfeasance to shift global leadership?  Nothing on balance sheet management and transparency in the financial sector?  Nothing on long term currency debasement?

Perhaps this analysis should be retitled as “Whistling Through the Graveyard..The Ignorance is Bliss Imperative”?

Here is the dirty political mr. fixit who’s been hanging on the Clinton entourage for years. My guess is he’s up to his eyeballs in this frame Trump action plan.

“Mrs. Clinton’s old friend and political adviser, Sidney Blumenthal, who regularly emailed her political advice and vaguely sourced intelligence reports on Libya, urged her to capitalize on the dictator’s fall.”

Two other interesting elements here.  First is that Brennan states the Russians knew about the Clinton plans to frame Trump. You think they were reading ALL her email passing through her insecure personal server?  Second, Syd Blumenthal was specifically identified by Obama and he required that he be excluded from a roll in the new 2009 administration line up as a precondition to Clinton’s service as SoS.

“I think the Russia story has become so big and complex that the news has an excuse not to cover it.”

Legend, I agree with Rocky. I took Physics 51, Particle Dynamics, from Nobel Prize winner Robert Hofstedter. He was a superb communicator who taught us enough physics in seven weeks that he could explain his Nobel Prize recognized research in week 8.

We don’t have a fourth estate in this country any more…much to our disadvantage. It is a critical leg on the personal freedom stool…and about now, our stool is pretty wobbly.

The level of redaction on the CIA referral letter to Comey is remarkable in light of Trump’s commitment yesterday.

    Who ain’t getting the message?
