Agree with Frank completely. The Hawaiian electorate astounds and mystifies me. Tulsi Gabbard at least has style and intelligence.
I’ll just leave this here.  Hawaii is no different from California.

Also, the justification is “posting of hacked material.”  Hacked how?  Hunter Biden brought his laptop in for servicing and never picked it up.  At some point, it becomes abandoned (usually in the service agreement).  Like if you pawn something and don’t redeem it after x number of days, or if you never pick up your dry cleaning.

The original Andrew Kerr tweet with the image of the invoice (with relevant personal information redacted), with the language from the invoice saying if you don’t pick it up after 90 days, it’s considered abandoned and property of the shop is gone, with Twitter claiming it “violates Twitter’s Rules.”  Amazing.

Our Silicon Valley overlords have now embargoed the story.

(Twitter deleted the NY Post’s tweet announcing the story).

(Facebook was the first to prevent posts linking to the story)

Facebook’s director of communications is literally a former DCCC staffer.  Surprise?

For those who have not escaped the information silo of the Left, it’s now happening out in the open, and people are simply conditioned to accept it.

I thought the whole point of wearing masks was to prevent an infected person wearing a mask from transmitting it.  If it gets into the air conditioning system, or you get some on your hands and then touch your face, you’re going to get it.

What makes me angry is the Silicon Valley overlords decided that the WHO was the arbiter of the “science,” when they LIED to us, or that somehow the CDC knew better, so let’s just arbitrarily censor actual science.  At the end of all this, the media, Facebook, Google, and Twitter will have blood on their hands; much more than allegations against Fox News that have already been debunked.  Also, the New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, and other publications have sacrificed their credibility on the altar of wokeism.  It’s sad.  In my view, the Iran nuclear deal was the Democrats testing how much control they had over the media and “the narrative.”  It was a test that America failed.  Look at the results.

    Could be worse.

Ted Wheeler is trailing in the mayoral race to this woman, who not only wore a skirt with communist leaders on it, but basically said antifa isn’t bad, so she’s going to crack down on the police if there are riots.

It appears that the media, (and law professors with TDS who could walk over to their tax colleagues’ offices) who have been 1099’d or W-2 earners their entire careers, are now pivoting to the loans and the amount of loans.  1) Trump is in real estate, so he will have loans; 2) the tax system is structured to encourage developers and lenders to take on these risks and lever up.

Another thread from a woman who was formerly in commercial real estate.  I, too, thought the interest rates on the loans was kind of low for the types of bridge and development loans that are standard for real estate developments.

This is red meat for the socialists / people who have never been in real estate.  Just like the Amazon doesn’t pay taxes crowd, I’m looking forward to the takes from people who have never filled out anything other than a 1040EZ.  I’m assuming this is an attempt to drive a wedge between Trump and his populist base, but it won’t work.

https://twitter.com/mollyfprince has a good analysis thread here.  In summary, Trump has really good tax lawyers.  Businesses take losses on taxable assets to reduce their tax burden.  Shocking, I know.

I tried posting this yesterday, along with a bunch of tweets analyzing the texts, but it wasn’t approved.  In short, the media will ignore this because they were part of it, laundering the information (or should I say disinformation) to allow the case to be opened and continued.  To the person trying to make a point about citing left-wing media, this is why they don’t carry as much weight as they used to… because they abandoned actual journalism for partisanship.  Say what you will about right-leaning sources, lately they’ve been more likely to cite evidence and try to dig up facts.

Huh?  In her career before she became a judge, she litigated and argued some of the ground-breaking cases for gender-equality, including the case that was the basis for “On the Basis of Sex,” involving a tax deduction that was exclusively for widows, but not widowers.  Before that, there was a case involving military benefits.  Once she established equal protection for gender as a legal principle, she used it to get laws to be gender neutral.

PLEASE, give her death 24 hours before bringing politics into this.  Ruth Bader Ginsberg was an extraordinary advocate, litigated some of the most historical and difficult cases, and was a delightful woman.  Even if I disagreed with her on legal issues, I respected her intellect and her skills.  Justice Scalia and Justice Ginsberg modeled how people who disagreed with each other vehemently in court could hold a lifelong friendship.

I know the infighting and discord has already begun, but I, for one, would like to be able to admire and remember her for at least a day without thinking about the political polarization that will follow.  People (especially female lawyers) are hurting, and grieving, and we should let them have their grief without plunging ourselves into yet another polarizing debate.  If they choose to go to that place, so be it, but I would rather we give her grace for at least a day.

    Thank you, in advance.

If I understand correctly, the holdup for the Pac-12 is that Gavin Newsom and Kate Brown have essentially banned football, except for the pros.  The pros have testing protocols in place, which allow them to play.  With the approval of the saliva test, I think cheap, quick testing is now available and should clear college football to resume.

Ted Wheeler just banned the use of tear gas except for in life threatening situations.  Follows Jenny Durkan in Seattle.

The great thing about democracy is that we get the leadership we deserve.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Portland,_Oregon_mayoral_election

Look at the candidates that didn’t make the top two (after ranked choice like San Francisco).  An anti-police brutality activist, a perennial candidate who hosts a show on PBS, and an architect / sustainability consultant.

There’s no balance in Portland, so they get the choices they want… Ted Wheeler or a woman who says “I am antifa” openly, and suggests that peaceful protests aren’t effective at delivering the message.
